The German organization BUND (Network for the Protection of Environment and Nature) has created a guide to improve these conditions, and to create the political and financial conditions to achieve a change. Continue reading “Costa Rica, San José”

Germany, Hamburg II

And now more concretely… who we are and what we do, and why actually?

In July 2017 there was an initial meeting for a multi-age get together in Hamburg. Who came, that was eight predominantly young people including quite small children from Taiwan, Ruanda, Germany, who were either working, studying  or  doing volunteer work. However, the problem of isolation is not my personal problem, and therefore we created a multi-generation group in Hamburg. Continue reading “Germany, Hamburg”

The higher locations stand under nature conservancy because the forest is ecologically valuable, protects against landslides and floods and represents an important water reservoir. On the south side of the mountains – opposite San José and Escazú – lies the region of Palmichal. Here the expansion of the coffee plantations right up to the steep rock slopes represents a threat.
